2021-22 Parish Ministry GuideLive + Jesus
Dear Parishioners, Lately, we hear it said that we cannot wait until things go back to the way they used to be, whatever that may mean. As we continue to wrestle with the sufferings of the past 18 months, to mourn those who have died, and to reclaim that which has been taken from us due to the pandemic, racial injustice, and political divisiveness, my hope is that we never go back to the way things used to be. As faithful people, we are challenged to take our experiences, to find the hand of God at work in them, and to use them as an opportunity to grow, moving forward to that new place our God calls us. This moving forward, based on our collective experiences, is essential for our parish community as well. After this year and a half, we cannot go back! We can only move forward to that new place to which our God calls our parish, and to do so we need your help! Our Guidebook and Directory provides ministry opportunities to help build upon our past experiences in order to move forward in serving the needs of God’s people and working to be the presence of Christ in our broken world. The Guidebook also keeps us connected as we rebuild our in-person community of Faith. I invite you to review the ministry opportunities available, and to consider how God may be calling you to participate. You will have an opportunity to talk with ministry representatives at our annual Ministry Fair in October 2021. I thank you for all you have done over these many months in keeping our Parish vital, welcoming, and financially stable. Without your support, and our working together, we may not have survived this unprecedented time…. the hand of God is truly at work through you. Thank you! In de Sales, Fr. Bob |
