Fellow Parishioners,Please take a minute to read about all that is going on with Teen Ministry at OMC. While you may be beyond your teen years, I hope you can join me in supporting, promoting, and praying for teen ministry.

Parish Update
What is Teen Ministry? With Acts 2:42 as our guiding scripture verse. We aim to provide regular opportunities for teens to come together for fellowship, formation, prayer, and service. Our hope is to give them a place where they can experience christian community, meet caring adult mentors, and wrestle with important aspects of our faith.
Sunday Night Gatherings
During the school year we meet on most Sunday nights for dinner at 6:00 followed by a topic or activity at 7:00. See the flyer at the bottom for our first topic of the year beginning on September 24th! Let me know if you would be interested in being an Adult Mentor. Adult Mentors commit to leading at least twice a month and are tasked with facilitating the discussion for the night. We always have at least two leaders and leaders are trained each year.
Not ready to be a mentor? Chaperones are also needed for our more social events such as the Halloween Party, Christmas party, Box of Joy service project, to provide supervision and help on occasional Sundays, and other one time events.

Parents, Please register your teens to receive regular updates and to allow them to also receive information.
Parents night is Sunday September 10th at 6:30PM. Enjoy some refreshments, meet other parents, learn about the topics for this year, and spend some time getting a glimpse into what happens at our Sunday nights! Upperclassmen dinner and meeting- September 17th 6:00-8:00- For teens in 10th-12th grade Overflow: Living the Sacramental Life- Begins September 24th at 6:00pm |

Other Opportunities
Teen Gospel Reflections- Teens and their parents are invited to subscribe to the weekly Gospel Reflection. The reflection is sent out every Friday at 2:00 and is based on the upcoming Sunday Gospel. Teens are also invited to write a short reflection for our community. Sign up for reflections here.
