Vocation eventsB.B.V.C. 2023 Saturday, April 22, 2023 "Dearest God, Give Me Holiness" Brothers of Borromeo Vocation Camp (B.B.V.C.) is the longest running camp sponsored by the Vocation Office! This year, with our theme “Dearest God, Give Me Holiness”, young men in grades 6-8 from around the Archdiocese of Philadelphia are invited to participate and learn about the life of St. John Neumann and what it means to be holy! We are looking forward to a day full of fun activities, talks, prayer, and fellowship that will teach about different saints and how their lives can inspire us to live in Christ and get to heaven! B.B.V.C. will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. A registration fee of $25 includes lunch, a t-shirt, and snacks. The registration deadline is March 30, 2023. Quo Vadis “Dearest God, Give Me Holiness” Quo Vadis Days, hosted by the Vocation Office for the Diocesan Priesthood and the Philadelphia seminarians, is a 4-day, 3-night summer camp for high school-aged men (incoming freshmen to graduated seniors) that seeks to encourage participants to ask the question: Where are you going? Through our theme "Dearest God, Give Me Holiness", engaging talks, fun activities, and 4 days of fellowship, Quo Vadis is designed to challenge young men to listen to God's call to the particular vocation He has planned for them. This year, Quo Vadis will take place at Black Rock Retreat Center in Quarryville, PA from Monday, June 26 – Thursday, June 29, 2023. Additional information on Quo Vadis is provided below as well as a registration packet. The registration fee is on a sliding scale of $25-$300 (pay what you are able), and includes all meals, t-shirt, lodging, activities, snacks and optional bus transportation (first come/first served). The registration deadline is May 31, 2023. If you have any questions, please contact Jillian Minnich, Program Coordinator ([email protected]) or Susan Matour, Associate Director ([email protected]), or call the Vocation Office at 610-667-5778. Catholic Scholars Program- Apply by May 15th A 10 day course for rising Juniors and Seniors at the seminary. Attendees will explore the connection between faith and reason and have the opportunity to earn college credits. Going Deeper - July 16 - 20, 2023 "Dearest God, Give Me Holiness" Each year at our Going Deeper Camp, we focus on service through the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. This past year, inspired by the works of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, we traveled the Archdiocese serving our neighbors in different ways such as preparing meals for the poor, street outreach ministry, and cleaning up a local park. These acts of charity helped the young men grow closer to God and each other along with assisting them in the discernment of God’s will for their lives. Going Deeper is a service camp open to young men, entering juniors to graduated seniors. Registration is by invitation only. Please let me know if your son would be interested in this service experience. |
