John Fisher, our pastor, will lead us in a stimulating and prayer-filled evening which is sure to help you grow in the life of the Spirit. Individual Spiritual Direction
Sister Christine is certified as a Spiritual Director and is available to meet one-on-one for individual spiritual direction. Generally, people meet once a month with a Spiritual Director. It is an opportunity to have someone help you listen more closely to where God is leading you in your life. Spiritual direction encourages a person to deepen their relationship with God and discern how that relationship impacts their everyday lives. In the midst of a busy life it is sometimes difficult to notice God’s action. Yet, at our deepest level, all of us long for a more conscious experience of God’s presence and love. Spiritual Direction can help us notice and embrace more fully God’s presence. This opportunity is open to people of all faith tradition. Come, See, and Experience! Inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si and the 2022 Season of Creation, the OMC Climate Ministry will be holding a Sustainability Fair on October 2nd. There will be eco-friendly giveaways, demonstrations, and information from sustainable exhibitors, such as Weavers Way, The Rounds, Back to Earth Compost Crew, Philly Seed Pods, Rabbit Recycling, PosiGen Solar, the OMC Garden Ministry and Peace and Justice Ministry, among others. Have you lost a loved one recently... or some time ago? Are you trying to figure out how you will survive this next holiday season? If so, come and rest for awhile and learn some things that may help support you during this difficult time. Be held in prayer and in the safety of others who have also felt a similar loss. Time for prayer, input, sharing, just being, and reverencing the gift of your loved one will be included within the evening. Join a virtual or on-person small group and renew your heart this Lent! Small groups are facilitated by trained Reach More Small Group Leaders. People gather to discuss life and faith, reflecting on God’s Word together – applying the Sunday readings to daily life, and praying for and with one another. There are no teachers in small groups (except the Holy Spirit!), just friends seeking God together. Lenten groups meet for 8 weeks beginning the week of February 12. Interested?
