Youth Ministry Monthly Update- July 20th, 2022
I hope you are enjoying your Summer. Our Summer schedule is at the midpoint. It has been nice to see some new teens coming to our dinner. If your teen would like to volunteer at Face to Face there are a limited number of spots left. While we still have a few weeks left of summer, I am looking forward to the start of our new Sunday schedule. We will begin to meet every Sunday for dinner at 6 followed by discussion at 7. Some nights we will break up into smaller groups. More details to come in August.

Newman Ministry- Parents, help your graduating senior get connected to the Catholic Community at their college by adding their contact information to Newman ministry. Often, all it takes to persevere in the faith is an invitation to a catholic community.
End of Summer Pool Party- Sunday August 21st 6:00-9:00
The end of summer pool party is aimed at wrapping up our summer activities. This year we will be limiting the party to 25 teens due to capacity and safety concerns. Teens must RSVP and teens that have attended a teen ministry summer event will have first priority. Make sure to come to a Sunday night dinner or Wednesday morning breakfast to guarantee your spot.

Mondays 9:00am-1:00pm
Tuesdays 2:00-5:00pm Ends 8/23. No meeting 7/26 and 8/2
Wednesdays 7:00am-9:00am Ends 8/24. No meeting 8/3
Fridays 9:00am-1:00pm
Spiritual check ins with Paul (30 minute sessions) Sign up here
- Weekly dinner, brief faith discussion/reflection, and game/activity/socializing. We will meet at OMC in the large conference room and parish kitchen.
Mondays 9:00am-1:00pm
- Volunteer to cook and serve a meal at Face to face in Germantown. Three slots available each date. Open to all teens. There are only a few spots left See dates and sign up here.
Tuesdays 2:00-5:00pm Ends 8/23. No meeting 7/26 and 8/2
- Drop in to hang out, play games, chat with Paul, enjoy snacks and relax.
Wednesdays 7:00am-9:00am Ends 8/24. No meeting 8/3
- Join us for daily Mass (25 minutes) followed by a freshly made hot breakfast and hanging out.
Fridays 9:00am-1:00pm

- Schedule a time to talk with Paul about your faith, ask spiritual questions, or learn how to pray or grow as a disciple of Jesus. Teens are invited to meet as little as once during the summer or as often as once a week (10th-12th graders) depending on what they are hoping to get out of the sessions and their own maturity. Teens can also come with one or two friends for a small group session. A sign up genius with available times will be shared at the beginning of each month.
Other Summer Events with our larger Catholic Community
(These are not planned by OMC but Paul will support teens who are interested in going and will go when appropriate if teens are going.)
Other Opportunities
Teen Gospel Reflections- Teens and their parents are invited to subscribe to the weekly Gospel Reflection. The reflection is sent out every Friday at 2:00 and is based on the upcoming Sunday Gospel. Teens are also invited to write a short reflection for our community. Check out past reflections Here.
