Youth Ministry Monthly Update- February 16, 2022
After a busy end to January we had a low key February in preparation for Lent. We have a couple of events coming up to end February. During Lent we have a couple large events as well well as some smaller events with limited spots. Due to the nature of Lent, this is a great time for teens to connect with teen ministry as we practice fasting, praying, and almsgiving. Please look over the upcoming events so that you and your teens can be aware of whats going on at our parish.

Recaps
Ask an Oblate- This was an awesome event that will probably be a staple going forward. One aim of teen ministry is to give our teens the space to connect with Catholic adults and to ask questions. They were given the chance to meet our priests and a young Oblate seminarian and to ask questions. Over the course of the hour they learned about prayer, discernment, Salesian spirituality, and vocation. |

Adulting 101- On January 30th we hard part one of adulting 101. Mr. Wilkins, a parishioner, former wealth management partner at PNC, and current high school mathematics and personal finance teacher in Philadelphia spoke to our teens about budgeting, planning for the future, and figuring out your North Star. Teens also heard from Katie Cillo about meal planning, eating healthy, and grocery shopping while eating some cheese empanadas.
