- Gospel Reflections- We have had some of our teens write reflections for the Sunday Gospel. These are written by teens for teens, although the entire parish can benefit! The reflections are shared on Instagram, flocknote, and the parish website every Friday. Please let me know if your teen (8th-12th grade) would like to write one!
December Recap:

Box of Joy- Thank you for all of the gifts and supplies that were donated. In conjunction with the school, OMC packaged 103 boxes which will be given to kids in in different countries this Christmas.
Advent Bible Study- Our Advent Bible Study is meeting one last time tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 7:30. Join us during this last week of Advent as we prepare for Christmas. We meet in the parish office in the teen room. Enter through the front door and head up the stairs.
Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill Visit- On December 12th, we continued our Exploring Other Churches series. We joined our neighbors down the street in Sunday worship and also enjoyed breakfast together. We will be visiting two more churches later this school year.
First Friday Social (December 3rd)- Our last First Friday social was pretty low key. We had an Asian themed dinner and then lots of board games and guitar hero. We packaged up left overs for Caring for Friends and ended the night reflecting on how sin affects us and our relationship with God. Shout out to Cait Plover who cantored during evening prayer!

Ongoing Service and Other OpportunitiesHosts for Hospitals
Please consider spreading the word for Hosts for Hospitals and maybe even serving as a host. Our neighbors across the street at St. Paul's reached out asking for our help. Many people come to Philadelphia to receive specialized treatment. Many need help covering the cost of lodging. Learn more about how you can help at their website.
Volunteer at Face to Face
Over the summer, teens were invited to volunteer at Face to Face. This is a wonderful way to meet members of our community and serve a meal. Teens can sign up for shifts using the volunteer hub. While they can volunteer on their own, parents are encouraged to go with teens if its their first time, especially if they are in 8th-9th grade.
