Mission

The Peace and Justice Committee of Our Mother of Consolation parish serves to help deepen our understanding of Catholic social teaching and apply that understanding through opportunities for action, education and grant making.

The committee has three goals

• Education: Provide at least four programs each year that may include guest speakers, videos, information fair or “field trip”.
• Action: Provide opportunities for parish members to be involved in direct service or action related to social justice.
• Grant making: Develop application guidelines and criteria for grant requests. Begin providing grants in 2009.
